AMALGAMARE represents the very musical union of two exceptional instrumentalists: the fiddle player Eoghan Neff and the pipe organist Cyprian Love.
At last something new in the desolate panorama of the music scene, and even while inspired by the traditional and the classical, always treated with modernity using a wide gamut of personal and artistic means of expression. Eoghan Neff on Irish fiddle and Br. Cyprian Love at the pipe organ have the capacity to sweep us up in a grandiose storm of musical ideas, with influences of church harmonies and Celtic rhythms, with incredible surprises at the beginning of a theme, or a sudden change of rhythm within, with original musical sentiment and the marvellous freshness of instant composition.
In this CD, unique and immediate, mature technique and youthful improvisatory daring are brought together by the young fiddler and expert organist alike, for both exchange maturity and youthfulness as together they engender a plethora of themes worthy of a major composed work. An amalgam of styles and ideas that carry us, on occasion, to times of old, and on other occasions to an atemporal dimension thanks to the magic of improvisation and the extreme freedom of the artist. An unrepeatable recording, joyful and surprising, worthily preserved on this disc for the enjoyment of every enthusiast of the art of music. All of it thanks to the technical exquisiteness and precious sensibility of the composer-performers.
Eoghan Neff, a young Irish musician with already two albums to his credit and soloist with the world renowned Irish stage spectacle "Riverdance", is already highly regarded within Irish traditional music.
