Trisquel is a band of Galician musical roots that after several years of work has reached, in this first album, a characteristic and compact sound. A sound that without failing to be round and complete, allows for its excellent musicians to show their own light with thechnicity, character and personality; therefore making each individual contribution stand out for its own merit. "O Chapeu de Merlín" is a graceful album, full of sweetness and happiness, which expresses the musical feelings of its members. The orchestration makes wonderful use of the rich gamut of popular Galician instruments; the piano and the female voice, wisely integrated into the whole, give out a singular beauty to these popular songs, Cantigas de Amigo, Pasodobles, a touch of "Blues", Romances, etc.
